NAVIGATING HR IN THE UK SMEs LANDSCAPE: A PERSONAL VIEW

I’m happy you have found me. 😊 I’m Jane Naumkin, the experienced HR enthusiast behind JN HRSolutions here in the UK and though based in the North West, in Macclesfield, I can work for you in any location. As an HR professional dedicated to the unique challenges and opportunities within small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and charities, I want to share insights from my journey that may help you with your people related needs. I have a background working in the UK and globally at high level for blue chips like Rolls Royce, BAE Systems, local and central government like Highways England, Norfolk County Council, and SMEs like Vernagroup, Briggs Equipment, MSC UK, and am currently working with several charities and several small companies. I want to focus on helping SMEs and Charities with everything from basic HR support to more developed projects.

The HR Rollercoaster in SMEs

Working in HR for SMEs has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. One day I’m drafting contracts, and the next, I’m mediating a dispute or strategising how to retain key talent. Here’s a snapshot of what I can do for you:

Legal Juggling: Keeping up with UK employment law isn't just advisable; it's essential. From GDPR compliance to understanding the nuances of the Equality Act, there's a constant learning curve. I keep you updated and anticipate what you’ll need next. I can work with you to build your employee handbook including all your policies.

Investigations: Where you have the need for independent investigations I can provide confidential and objective support through to the report and recommendations.

What keeps me passionate about HR in SMEs is the human connection. Every policy change, every new hire, every conflict resolved is about people. I've seen CEOs and owners grow with my support and there's nothing more rewarding.
